The Scottish Universities� International Summer School (SUISS) was founded as a non-profit organisation by Professor David Daiches in 1947. In the spirit of the Edinburgh International Festival, SUISS brings together students and academics who, irrespective of their national, religious, or cultural difference, share a love of literature. SUISS is affiliated with seven prestigious Scottish universities: The University of Aberdeen, The University of Dundee, The University of Edinburgh, The University of Glasgow, The Open University in Scotland, The University of St Andrews and The University of Strathclyde. Throughout its 66 years, SUISS has achieved a high academic standing and has welcomed many distinguished literary scholars, critics and writers. ECB Traineeships in English Translation and Editing

The European Central Bank (ECB) is seeking applications from recent graduates or students who are close to completing their master�s studies for a traineeship in the English Translation and Editing Section (ETE) within Directorate General Communications (DG/C). ETE is responsible for providing translation, editing, proof-reading and terminology services for the ECB to support the ECB�s reporting obligations and its external communication activities in English. ETE also advises the staff and the decision-making bodies of the ECB on linguistic matters.
